37 Weeks

Today we had our 37 week appointment.  Baby girl is slowly getting ready to meet her mommy and daddy.  I am 1 cm dilated right now.  If she doesn't want to come out on her own, then we will be induced on July 26th, a Monday!  Being high-risk, they don't want me to go past 40 weeks and this date will be right in the middle.  We are super duper anxious to meet and see our precious angel!  We will keep you all updated when things happen!:)  18 days left:)

Slowly Starting the Countdown

I am sorry for not posting anything lately!  Here is our update.  Our little girl weighs around 4 pounds right now.  I go in twice a week for fetal monitoring, which basically means I sit in a chair for 40 minutes and listen to her heartbeat and listen for when she moves around.  She sure likes to sleep a lot when I go in for this monitoring.  Everything looks fantastic so far and the doctor thinks she will be there til the end!:)  He mentioned that he might schedule me to be induced on July 26th if I don't go on my own, but wants to double check that when we get closer!

I am feeling pretty good so far.  I am lucky that I didn't have a hard pregnancy, minus the kidney stone.  I am now starting to get a little short of breath every once in a while and having a little trouble sleeping at night.  I think I have that figured out with loads of pillows!:)  We are getting super excited to see our little girl!  That is the hardest part now...waiting!:)  Thanks for everyone's thoughts and prayers for us!  We truly appreciate all your blessings!:)

Feeling the movement now!

I have felt our little daughter move around quite a bit lately now.  What an amazing feeling!!!  Last night I had Greg lightly put his hand on my stomach and he was able to feel her move too for the first time!!!

Once I figure out how to put pictures on the site, I will do so!!  Hope everyone had a great Easter!:)

Hello everyone!
Today we went in for our 19 week ultrasound.  Everything checked out great for our little honey!  The Heart Rate is at 151.  All the major organs looked wonderful and everything checked out wonderful for me as well.  We also decided to find out the sex of the baby!  Was your guess correct?  It is a beautiful baby...

Update

Well, it is a great feeling to be in my 2nd trimester now!  All of our tests came back in the normal range for down syndrome.  We are really enjoying life right now.  Greg, especially, is loving the change in my belly!  Very fascinating!  We will find out the sex of the baby the beginning of March!  Right now we have no idea what it will be.  One day I think boy and the next girl!  Who knows...will I be the one to change the girl effect on one side of my family, or just add to it!!:)  Either way, we will be so thrilled!
